BLUE BLOG EXCLUSIVE:  Creekside Could Be Headed for Foreclosure……Again

Gahanna Ohio January 14th 2015

The city of Gahanna could be facing another year of bad news cycles. In 2013 the community’s trust in the city’s leadership was tarnished when city council proposed a poorly crafted income tax increase. It was followed by Mayor Becky Stinchcomb canceling the city’s annual 4th of July celebration. 2014 wasn’t much better. Residents questioned city council and the Mayor as to why no plan was in place regarding the future of the Gahanna swim club. Finally the city lost 450 jobs when AEP moved hundreds of employees to New Albany.

2015 was supposed to be a fresh start for the city. A year of transition. Instead we’re hearing news that’s all too familiar. The Blue Blog has received word that US Bank National Association filed a complaint with the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas against the Creekside Equity Partners. Documents filed allege that the developer defaulted on the loan by failing to make payments due from July 2014 to present.

This story is still developing…..

The Blue Blog will continue to keep you up to date on this and other stories unfolding in Gahanna.

Creekside a white elephant, I agree. Income tax plan where people living and working in Gahanna pay 2.5% is fair to the people working outside the city who should be given full credit for paying the same outside to another city. I’m tired of people whining about the increase when we’ve been extra taxed and carrying them for years. Most people would seem to live in Gahanna and work outside the city so this would have been a benefit to them. As for the pools the city should have never stepped in to support what were private pools and couldn’t make it on their own. Why should the city step in and take on the financial responsibility?
