City Hall Reverses Position – Fireworks are On!

June 9, 2013 by Admin

fireworksAs early as Thursday we were hearing that City Hall is reversing their decision regarding the cancellation of the Fourth of July fireworks.

This morning that information was confirmed by a second source: Gahanna will have fireworks in 2013!

Some credited the mayor for showing strong fiscal responsibility even though the decision was difficult to accept.  Others disagreed with the decision.

Credit should be given to the many residents of the city who have spend the past two weeks communicating their thoughts and concerns with city hall.  Many felt this event is a key component for Civic Pride.

The pressure felt was apparently enough to bring fireworks back to Independence Day in Gahanna.

This Alert! has been Updated.  See “Update: Gahanna Fireworks on Monday’s Council Agenda”.
